What Does AAHA-accredited Mean?

You may have noticed on our website and brochures that PetAid Animal Hospital is “AAHA-accredited.” But what does this mean, and why is it so very important?

AAHA stands for the American Animal Hospital Association, which is the only organization to accredit companion-animal veterinary hospitals. These accredited hospitals hold themselves to a higher standard, undergoing regular comprehensive evaluations by AAHA veterinary experts who evaluate the practice on approximately 900 rigorous standards of veterinary care. In fact, only about 12% of all veterinary practices in the United States and Canada are AAHA-accredited!

PetAid Animal Hospital is committed to this elevated level of care and continues to pass their re-accreditation evaluation year after year with flying colors. We are extremely proud of this outstanding accomplishment, as it demonstrates that PetAid Animal Hospital continues to be dedicated to an exceptional level of medical care and client service. While our clients may be struggling to provide the care their pets so desperately need, they can take comfort knowing they will receive the high-quality veterinary services they deserve to remain healthy, happy, and bonded with their families.

While PetAid staff is proud to receive this affirmation of just how exceptional our Animal Hospital is, please know that the quality care we offer to Colorado’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged populations is only made possible because of generous donors like yourselves. Thank you, PetAid supporters, for making our continued AAHA-accreditation a true success story!
