Meowie came to PetAid Animal Hospital due to a severe dental disease affecting her ability to eat. Our skilled veterinary health team was able to restore Meowie's health in thanks to the Mercy Fund.
Mercy Fund dollars provided the care needed preventing euthanasia as an option. It is a primary goal of the Mercy Fund to keep the human-animal bond intact in the face of an acute medical issue that, when resolved, will restore the animal’s health.
Even with the donor-subsidized veterinary care offered at PetAid Animal Hospital, it is possible that, due to an owner’s total lack of financial resources, the only options to relieve an animal’s suffering are euthanasia or relinquishment to a humane organization. Thankfully, in Meowie's case, this sweet cat will go on to live a happy and healthy life.
