It's a Wrap!
The 12th Annual Mutts & Models, Colorado's original "black-collar" event, had a record-breaking night on Saturday, May 18. The Mardi Gras-themed event, titled Mardi Growl, was held at the EXDO Event Center, and attracted nearly 600 guests -- a record year in attendance.
The event opened with a silent auction that included 100 fun and one-of-a-kind items and was followed by a live auction and paddle raiser. This year's auctions were the most successful in Mutts & Models history, with bids ranging from $100 to $20,000.
The evening concluded with the main event, a fashion show that featured local celebrities and philanthropists modeling with their dogs, emceed by Jake Schroeder, founder of Opie Gone Bad. Thirty-three models and 35 dogs strutted down the runway in fashions provided by White House | Black Market and Ted's Clothiers.
All proceeds benefit PetAid Colorado, which provides a healthcare safety net for pets of vulnerable and at-risk populations. Thanks to our generous attendees and an outpouring of support from local media and organizations, PetAid Colorado was able to surpass its fundraising goals and raise more than $225,000. All funds benefit the animals and people served through PetAid Colorado's four programs.
PetAid Colorado would like to thank all of the generous sponsors of Mutts & Models. A full list of sponsors can be found here.
