New and Improved Isolation Room Makes Its Grand Debut!
Like other veterinary hospitals, PetAid Animal Hospital has its own isolation suite – a place to examine patients exhibiting certain symptoms and reduce the chances of infecting other patients.
Through funding from Steve and Linda Wheeler, the hospital was able to pay for the painting supplies needed to update the previously plain isolation room. When owners and their companion animals have to wait in the isolation room, it can be a stressful experience.
Benjamin Topf, an art student from Metro State College, transformed the room into a colorful and uplifting mural, highlighting the human-animal bond. The hope is that this new mural will make the experience a little better for PetAid Colorado Animal Hospital clients.
A big thank you to funders Steve and Linda Wheeler, and artist Benjamin Topf!
PetAid Colorado Receives Mobile Unit from VCA Charities
VCA Charities made a generous donation to PetAid Colorado in the form of a veterinary mobile unit to help advance our outreach programs in Colorado.
“Transportation is what ties it all together,” said Ralph Johnson, PetAid Colorado executive director. “Transportation is often the barrier for those in need getting essential medical care for their pets. The mobile unit lets us deliver care to where it is needed with the added benefit of raising visibility and educating the community as we go.”
Brandon Antin, special projects coordinator at VCA adds, “Our goal at VCA Charities is to improve the lives of pets and their families. Through PetAid Colorado and its new mobile pet unit, we can achieve just that and help more pets and owners than we ever thought imaginable.”
