The following description is provided by the Care Credit program:
CareCredit, a part of GE Capital, is a healthcare credit card that can be used as a payment option for certain expenses not covered by insurance or to bridge situations when desired care exceeds financial means.
Many patients put off treatments and procedures because they cannot afford to pay. PetAid Animal Hospital offers CareCredit payment plans as a convenient option. It will allow you to pay over time often without incurring interest charges instead of a lump sum prior to treatment.
CareCredit is a personal line of credit for healthcare treatments and procedures for your entire family, including your pets. It works like a credit card, but has two extra advantages. It can only be used for healthcare services and you can get No Interest financing every time you use it. Simply either pay off the entire balance by the end of your promotional period or the minimum monthly payment, and you can get a "No Interest" payment plan if paid in full within six months on purchases with your CareCredit card. Interest will be charged to your account from the purchase date if the promotional balance, including optional charges, is not paid in full within six months or if you make a late payment. Minimum monthly payments are required.
Unlike other credit cards, CareCredit does not have any teaser or introductory rates, application fees, or pre-payment penalties -- just special financing every time.
Approval is based on information from your credit application and past credit history. This includes information from the primary applicant as well as any co-applicant; we recommend that you apply for no more than the amount needed to take care of your pet’s visit.
